Synopsis

Following a Tragedy, a family welcomes in their Relative Julia, but teen daughter Rachel Suspects that young woman has witchcraft on her agenda.

My Review

This movie is another movie that came out in 1978 the year I was born so this is another review that I be reviewing from the year I was born.

Movie starts with flashes of someone evil think it was Linda Blair my guess she possessed in this one we see that before having we she is a great actress when it comes to roles of horror movies that is this should be interesting role during the flashes which was short it maybe not Linda we see later on who that was anyway aunt and uncle crash and daughter of them moves in with she acting creepy so she maybe the witch or that person who Look creepy at the intro of the movie.

Later on we see Fran Drescher very young by the way another great actress this movie is probably when both was started acting career took off.

We almost see her get killed by a horse who went nuts soon something is up with Julia because creepy and scary and music starts to go scary as well then Rachel wakes up with a rush poor her now she can’t go the dance now because of the rush she does blame Julia don’t know seems like she trying to take over her life or Rachel has become Jealous seems like as after that when Julia at the dance she finds witchcraft stuff with a lock of hair on it and her horses dies from accident then look to be taking over her life.

Wes craven directed this one but after 30 mins this feels like a TV movie because there hasn’t been much gore blood yet or kills well just horse that it maybe it will pick up later most of TV movies that are horror back then water down a lot due to network rules I think I did hope that they would give something good at the end of the movie.

Will say the movie did have a nice build slow though but good but you can tell Julia was getting more and more creepy as you go though the movie so is there anything big near the end or at the end well pretty much we find out she is a witch after Seducing men and her name is Sara out to kill so guess it was her at the start then eyes are pretty creepy as well and last 15 mins was heck of car battle there as witch try to run over and she end up crash and pretty much she was toast or was she they did throw one heck of twist

Have to say a good movie it was witch was can of scary looking that Wes craven for horror that last 15 mins was good and acting was not too bad in this one it was not bloody and gory this was TV movie so that why would this be a movie I would watch probably would it was not a bad movie worth checking out if your fan on Linda Blair in my view.

I give the summer of fear (1978) a rating of 6/10
